Approach
I work as a creative, trauma-informed practitioner who welcomes all parts of my clients. I am skilled in holding a range of modalities together that uniquely meet the person you are and the needs you have at the time.
My love for careful, integrative work developed during my own therapy journey and strengthened during my Master of Counselling and Doctorate degrees. I noticed not all clients can fit neatly into the limited boxes the dominant psychology space tends to offer. I hold the understanding that people are multifaceted, and perhaps these simplistic boxes may feel uncomfortable, cramped, or traumatic if they are the only options presented.
I began to explore approaches such as parts work like Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, arts-based practices, and imagery work. I knit these creative approaches together with the grounded nature of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solutions-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Motivational Interviewing. A thoughtfully integrative approach allows space for expansive guidance, creative clarity, and deep understanding.

Client Words
“Megan is a special soul and I am so grateful for the connection we now share. She has helped me better understand myself and equipped me with new tools & perspectives to navigate life. Megan has all the qualities you’d want in a therapist: warm, kind, non-judgemental, curious, relatable. But what sets her apart is a certain precision with how she asks questions and how she helps to visualise and frame (or reframe) a scenario. My particular favourite are the little phrases or cues that we’ve created together, which have become an indispensable part of my toolkit. She also has a way of conveying such genuine empathy - sometimes even coloured with her own vulnerability! - which has created space for me to share things that I hadn’t previously said aloud to another human being. I recommend Megan with my whole heart. ”
“I have seen several psychologists, but none of them could help me with my anxiety, PTSD, and stress, and I didn’t seem to connect with them. A friend of mine asked me to see Megan as she had been one of her clients and seemed very happy. After my first session, I knew she was the one who could help me. Megan was warm, calming, approachable, friendly, and knowledgeable. She created an open and welcoming environment where I felt seen and safe. I have been seeing Megan for the past year now, and honestly, the support I have received from her and her consistency has been all I needed. She is very patient and listens to my concerns very well. I see her every fortnight, and I look forward to our session every time because she sees me, hears me, and, most importantly, cares. She’s always there when I need her. I must say, I am having the best time of my life because of her. Overall, I’m delighted with this service. I highly recommend Finding Space.”
“When I started therapy with Megan I was facing overwhelming challenges, I felt lost, un certain of different emotions and I knew I had life changing decisions I was facing.
Megan has a very empathetic and nonjudgmental approach to her practice, She has an incredible ability to provide a safe space which is what allowed me to open up and explore my thoughts and emotions. With encouragement and support in navigating difficult pathways along with her valuable insight and practical guidance is what helped me grow tremendously.
I’ve since learnt to manage my emotions, handle stress and build healthier relationships in my professional and personal life. Looking back to where I was one year ago to where I am now makes me forever grateful I came across Megan and her life changing practice. ”
“I found Megan after craving a different point of view after seeing a different therapist for a while and I’m so glad I did! Megan has a hands-on approach that really works with my way of thinking. From the moment I walked into her zen and cosy room, I felt at ease and was really able to digest the concerns that landed me there in the first place. Her kind, empathetic yet challenging perspective has helped me break barriers and learn more about myself in ways that continue to surprise me. I constantly find myself putting our work into practice on the daily - and for that, I am eternally grateful. ”
“I can’t really articulate how much Megan has helped and is slowly helping me but hope this does:
I had always thought of therapy to be a frightening, clinical, sterile space. I have bounced and dipped and darted between therapists but she has been the only one I stuck with and felt comfortable enough with expressing words or thoughts that I thought no one could understand. I have been seeing for a few months and meeting her has slowly opened up my world again. In the sessions we have had I have noticed an immense shift. Her words, her guidance and practices percolate in my mind and guide me. Megan feels like a therapist and also like a sister that you share secrets with and who recommends you books, coffee shops, and podcasts. I expected to cry, to feel anger, shame, pain but I did not expect to also be met with laughter, warmth and deep joy.”
“Megan has helped me explore my own mind without judgement or bias, and helped me feel lighter. She has been supportive throughout a difficult period of my life and helped me pick myself back up. I am excited for life ahead, and feel confident in facing any challenges life may throw my way now. My sincerest thanks.”
